Accountability

I've seen people post lists to their blogs, but didn't jump on the band wagon. I have too many lists, so that would take toooo long to compile anyway. Recently I realized that having pending things in your life just adds more weight to your shoulders and can frustrate you if you keep putting them off. Because of this I decided to write a list of things that need to be done. This is regarding personal things rather than house things. The house list is on 5 pages of notebook paper stapled together right now, so I definitely won't be blogging about that {any time soon at least...}!

So here's my list of things to do {will not necessarily be completed in this order}. You may not care, but by putting it out there for the world to see it may help to make me feel more accountable for it.

Car services
- Purchase new tires {2 at a time}
- Change the spark plugs
- Add more coolant
- Service for steering wheel issue
- Service for axle
- Switch car over to my name

Appointments
- Washer and Dryer bi-yearly checkup
- Water temperature issue in master bath
- Electrical issue with fan in great room
- Get a physical
- Visit the lady doctor

Business
- Updates for Milestone Events website
- Redo my Portfolio website and change the url
- Switch business website to shop
- Redesign business blog
- Renew Internet Security software
-(addition on 6/5) Copyright new prints

These are the major things that I can think of for now. I may add or delete where I see fit.

How do you tackle large to-do lists?

  1. I list all my to do task on a vision board that I see every day.Whenever I accomplish a task on that board I will cross a line thru it in a bold color marker. When I've crossed out a block of task, say four or five then I will treat myself to something. I consider this a guilt free indulgence since all of my task are working towards goals.

  2. That's a good idea to treat yourself to something as you complete a block of tasks. Gives you something to look forward to :)
