Hey there! I can't believe that summer is almost over. Time is flying by...overall. I guess it's true what people say, "Once you graduate from high school life speeds by". Anyway, this month both Simon and I were under the weather, so we were in the house on our date night. I recently discovered the show, White Collar, on Netflix and have already finished the first season (14 episodes)! We watched the show and ate soup from the Olive Garden.
Cheers to the common cold :-\

Anniversary Date Night: July 26th
We've always passed by this Mexican restaurant called Fuego and were curious about it, so we decided to try it for our date night. I must say, we were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and the outdoor ambiance was great! The furniture was all leather and wood. It felt kind of like we were in a tree house.

Anniversary Date Night: June 26th
How about the mid-week Holiday!? My week is now officially thrown off.
This will probably be the most low key date night ever. We have been so busy lately thus so tired! Our date night ended up being Simon asleep on the couch as I read Fifty Shades Darker next to him. I don't know if you would consider this an official "Date Night", but either way that's how we spent our evening.
Speaking of Fifty Shades Darker...have any of you read the Fifty Shades trilogy? I finished yesterday and all I can say is WOW. I loved the story line, though the repetitiveness of the writing was annoying. Besides that I would give the first two an A+ and the third a C.
Since this post hasn't had any images in it yet, here are a few from our 4th:

Anniversary Date Night: May 26th
Every Memorial Day weekend in Atlanta there is a free outdoor concert called the Atlanta Jazz Festival located at Piedmont Park. It runs from Saturday-Monday. It's a great sight. People set up tents if they plan to be there all day. Most people just bring chairs or blankets. There are plenty of food and drink vendors, but nothing beats bringing your own food and drinks. Simon and I used to go every year after we started dating, but we had a slight break from it due to either work scheduling issues or the event being cancelled due to a drought for a couple of years.
Anyway, it just so happened that May 26th was during the Jazz Festival, so that's where we went. We went with my parents (my Dad and I are fans of Roy Ayers, one of the performers there and the only person that we really wanted to see), and we all had a great time!

Anniversary Date Night: April 25th (one day early)
This month our date night was one day early because Simon was getting off of work late on the 26th and since it was a week night it wasn't feasible to try to squeeze it in.
We had another in-home date which involved delicious grilled burgers by Simon (half lamb and half beef) with spicy sweet potato fries. We ate Al Fresco as the sun was setting. The sky wasn't as vibrant as it has been, but it was still a beautiful sight. A fun fact about me: I have to cut every sandwich that I eat in half. I don't know why, maybe it's just easier to tackle.
Afterwards we watched a Redbox movie, Rango. Simon was in the mood for an animated movie, so that's what he got. The movie was cute, but I ended up falling asleep on it.
So that was our date night. Have you had any date nights in or out lately?

Anniversary Date Night: March 26th
It's that time of the month again...date night recap! Just to give you a refresher, we decided that we are going to celebrate our anniversary every month on the date that we were married (the 26th), so we have a special date night whether it's at home or outside of the house (here are the previous posts if you missed them: January, February).
This month we had an in home date. We are Mad Men fanatics. I mean, this is the only show that Simon will actually look forward to watching with me and that says a lot since he's not really into TV. We decided to have a Mad Men party with just us two, so we dressed in Mad Men attire, ate pasta salad, he drank out of a lowball and I drank out of a cordial, and we watched the season premiere on dvr (no commercials!).
And just for fun, here are the same pictures with an old school look to them in honor of our show!
Do any of you love Mad Men as much as we do?

Anniversary Date Night: February 26th
This month we went to PF Chang's. We had a great time and laughed a lot! Here are a few pictures. Take note of the name on the server's ticket...I thought it was hilarious and wanted to call Simon that all night. He didn't like it.
The end...

(Isn't this the cutest little horse tooshie?)
